Description
Included: a clear plastic hinged carrying case for storage or transportation.
There are two settings on the blade. One being a standard saw blade angle whereas the second is the blade pointing into the air. This angle allows you to cut to a flat surface or to have the handle away from the branches which are slowing your cutting process.
The teeth taper moves in thickness from large at the handle to small at the tip.
- Arbor Composite Grip: Great for cold & wet conditions, as well as for game processing.
- Black Nickel/Tin Coated Blade: Suitable for cutting through wood and bone.
- Blade Material: The blade is made out of a high carbon SK4 steel which is both strong and flexible.
- Impulse-Hardened Teeth: Stays sharp 3 times longer than non-hardened teeth.
- Blade Length: 240mm (curved)
- Total Weight: 288 grams
- Teeth Pitch: 8 (6.8 tpi)

Outstanding saw, a pleasure to use!

The Silky range is excellent, and the latest Outback edition is no exception. I use this as my primary saw when out in the bush and carry it on my personal most of the time. The 240mm feels just the right length for personal use for both small branches and decent log thickness for camp fires. The grip is sturdy, excellent and feels great. There have been some reports that the blades break but if you use them correctly not only will they last but they will cut incredibly quickly. My only gripe is with the carry case, it feels bulky and doesn’t really attach well to a belt, however I have a personal leather sheath for mine that I had made and it sit comfortably on my right hip without me even noticing its it there most of the time.
Overall an excellent saw and stoked to own the Outback 240 Edition!
