Description
There are three steps to sharpening: grinding, polishing, and finishing.
- 240-400 grit removes nicks and other imperfections from the blade.
- 400-2000 grit smooths out the imperfections of grinding and returns the blade to a fine edge.
- 1000-3000 grit is for fine honing.
- 2000-8000 grit is for polishing.
