Love the new leatherman the titanium relay keeps the weight down and has all the tools I will need. The sheath also has room for a small torch on the side I put the led lenser p3r which fits perfectly. Would purchase from the site again as happy with price and delivery.

Re GERBER MINI KNIFE PARAFRAME FINE EDGE

I bought the Gerber to use when either fishing or hunting. It replaced a Kershaw 6.8 inch fixed blade caping knife which came with a looped sheath. The Gerber is 5.2 inch open and a mere 3 inches closed.

I was hesitant to buy a folding knife for gutting and skinning being concerned with keeping it clean. Those concerns have been overcome by the clever design of the Gerber which enables quick and effective cleaning and minimizes weight.

The open blade locking device is secure and gives me confidence, especially when gutting, and the handle gives me a secure grip. The belt clip, unlike a sheath, allows an unobtrusive attachment to my belt and doesn’t catch on bushes causing a knife to tilt.

The high carbon stainless blade holds a very good edge. I can highly recommend it.

This was an interesting purchase because i had to purchase the Bugout in order for Harrison to swap it out with the Gerber Fastball - which didn’t make it on the site yet (that is how keen i was to get it). The service commitment to notify me as soon as the Fastball arrived in the country, to the follow up and personal care Harrison invested into my business trumps any transaction in the past. You are the real MVP Harrison!

Now onto the Gerber Fastball! Wooweeee is all i can say....I have waited months for it and boy was it worth the wait. Ironically was in two minds whether to purchase the Bugout or Fastball. The Bugout with the proprietary axis lock or Gerber (in all its glory) with a “stab” at the market to get a share of the high end EDC community.

From the overall balance, to the ergonomics and the sage green aluminium scales. But more importantly the finish, bevel and razor sharp edge of the stonewashed CPM-S30V blade has blown my mind. Sorry sorry....i lie....the detent on the flipper still has me putting the action through its paces because i am still in awe of how “snappy” and rigid it feels. The knife has not only been my most important and valued EDC item but it is now my stress ball....literally. Rough day at the office? Hit that flipper. Someone gives me a hard time? Hit that flipper. In deep thinking mode? Hit that flipper. Trying to find an address? Don’t turn the music down! HIT THAT FLIPPER!!

Live in remote victorian bush. With this Silky on board no need to carry chain saw and fuel everywhere.Tree down on track with a bit of time and winch i get through or around.Beats using axe.Cuts best on back stroke.Still carry Axe and a couple of wedges for larger limbs.Only carry chain saw when out cutting trailers of firewood now.Light enough for backpacking and breaks down more than wood with ease.quality is impeccable. Service impeccable. 😀😀
