A great all round saw, A camping must have item as it easily packs away and fits snug in any backpack or side pack
Comes packed nice and sharp easy to tear through all wood widths, very simple and easy to maintain and with its long handle with rubber grips make it sit pleasantly in one hand or two doesn’t slip or fall out.
for the price its well deserved for something that is really durable on any hard working day and delivered really fast of about 4 days for me on standard delivery and was dispatched seconds from ordered!

This is a very impressive saw and well worth the money spent. Good for single, two handed and underhand cutting plus it takes up very little storage room. Highly recommended β

Great saw! Cut up some pretty large logs camping with this Big Boy and it’s like butter. All you need to survive in the bush.

Beast of folding saw got the smaller versions and works great. Good with the Australian hard woods and packs up to a good size to be carried in a hiking pack

If your here reading reviews then you’re thinking about purchasing one, you may have some doubts but seriously…. This ripper of a saw will cut like a banshee time and time again. The only buyer’s regret you’ll suffer is not buying two of them. Order it, treat yourself, the 5yr old kid inside you screaming with excitement and joy as it rips through timber will thank you later. ππππ

Awesome saw, I got it for backpacking, survival and Scouts rather than use a hatchet, axe or chainsaw.
It is designed to cut on the pull NOT the push like conventional saws. I have used it a couple of times already and the cuts are as smooth as a baby’s bottom.
Please be aware the teeth are sharp as, I found that out when I ran my fingers not across the teeth but down the edge of the teeth, but just be aware the saw blade is designed NOT to be sharpened, you really need to buy a spare blade at the same time, to ensure blade sharpness at all times.
The blade is easy enough to replace and you are paying for Japanese quality. The Silky saws are the very best in the world, and the quality reflects this, what you pay initially you will quickly realise that will save you money in the mid to long term.
I cannot speak highly enough of the product. I will also mention the extremely quick and professional service level of Elite Outdoor Gear, and will most definitely buy off again. Not necessarily the cheapest company to buy from, but one of the most professional companies I have dealt with, so I am humbly honoured to say I am a customer, thank you.

Another great saw from Silky! This one has probably seen the most use of all the Silky saws I have so far, and it still cuts like the day it arrived. It makes quick work of trees for firewood, shelters, and “forest furniture” woodworking projects I do.
You can power through cuts with two hands when needed, but it’s still easy enough used one handed. The two blade positions are great! Using the lower blade position is really useful when you need to cut from different positions or angles.
I typically carry this saw and an axe around camp when sourcing wood for camp fires or woodworking projects, which has been the perfect duo for almost everything I come across (except very large logs, which I use the giant katanaboy for).

Great product, you can feel the quality. Light weight for a hand saw and great that it folds up for easy storage. Would definitely recommend to other tradesmen, especially in the garden industry.

Live in remote victorian bush. With this Silky on board no need to carry chain saw and fuel everywhere.Tree down on track with a bit of time and winch i get through or around.Beats using axe.Cuts best on back stroke.Still carry Axe and a couple of wedges for larger limbs.Only carry chain saw when out cutting trailers of firewood now.Light enough for backpacking and breaks down more than wood with ease.quality is impeccable. Service impeccable. ππ

Absolutely amazing saw! Cuts through wood like itβs nothing. Is designed to be used two handed however still does the job single handedly, just not quite as efficient.

Great saw, cuts very well and is quite compact. Ergonomics are a little off for cutting one handed, which is normal. But overall very good! And great shipping turnaround.

This saw is fantastic. The saw easily tears through green timber. I have used it to remove several downed gum limbs with a diameter up to about 20cm. The 2 blade positions make cutting the underside of the branch much more comfortable compared to other saws I’ve used. Very glad I spent the extra money over a cheap bunnings saw, the quality of materials and cutting performance difference is huge.
